While composing the second part of my mystory, I discovered that an old building in my hometown had a larger impact on my life than I previously realized. If Conrad Poppenhusen never built the Poppenhusen Institute and brought the rubber factory to College Point, the village may have existed under completely different terms. Our community values may have been very different, but Poppenhusen instilled the values of family and children in College Point's foundation. I also found that Leonard Koren's Wabi-Sabi provided an excellent template for my emblem. In the spring, we used the Koren template to create our "American Aesthetic," and I found that it provided much of the information I needed to determine my wide image.
